Orders & Shipping
How long will it take to receive my book?
Our practical guides are printed on demand. Allow 1–2 business days for printing; delivery usually takes 8–14 business days depending on destination and shipping method.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Available delivery options and costs depend on your location and are shown at checkout.
Why isn't my book shipped immediately?
Most practical guides are printed especially for each order, avoiding unnecessary stock and overproduction. A short printing time is therefore required before dispatch.
Printing & Production
How are your books printed?
Practical guides are printed on demand through Lulu, while limited and collector editions are printed in small quantities with selected printers.
Where are your collector editions printed?
Whenever possible, we work with printers located in or close to the region featured in the book, keeping production connected to the territory.
Languages & Editions
What languages are your books available in?
Most practical guides are currently published in English. Limited editions are produced, whenever possible, in the language most widely spoken by the communities and territories featured.
Do all books exist in the same format?
No. Format, paper, binding and production methods vary between accessible practical guides and research-based collector editions.
Refund & Return
Can I return a book?
Yes. If you change your mind, you can contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. Returned books must be unused, undamaged and in their original condition. Because our practical guides are printed on demand, return shipping costs are generally the responsibility of the customer unless the book arrives damaged or there has been an error with the order.
What if my book arrives damaged?
If your book arrives damaged or defective, please contact us with your order number and a few photos of the book and packaging. We will review the issue and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.
Can Collector Editions be returned?
Collector Editions follow the same return conditions unless otherwise specified on the product page. Because they are produced in limited quantities, exchanges may not always be possible once an edition is sold out.
Collector Editions
What is a Collector Edition?
Our Collector Editions are limited-run books created around a specific territory, community or research project. They combine fieldwork, testimonies, research, photography, illustration and local knowledge in a more ambitious editorial format.
Are Collector Editions available permanently?
No. They are printed in limited numbers and may not be reprinted in the same form once sold out.
Is shipping different for Collector Editions?
Delivery times are generally similar, but shipping costs can be higher depending on where the edition was printed, its format and weight.
Collaborations & Commissioned Projects
Who can collaborate with Vergers du Monde Press?
We are always looking for people working with knowledge connected to land, farming and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK). You may be a farmer, gardener or knowledge holder wishing to document and share practices that are rarely written down. Or you may be a researcher working on TEK and looking for a different way to bring your research to a wider audience. In both cases, we would be happy to hear from you.
How are contributors represented in your books?
Our books are built around the people who contribute to them. Collaborators are credited throughout the publication, and dedicated author or contributor pages can be included. Where relevant, we also link readers directly to their work through websites, publications, QR codes, workshops or events.
Do you work with hotels, ecolodges and tourism organisations?
Yes. We also develop commissioned projects with ecolodges, hotels and other organisations looking for a different way to talk about sustainability and the communities surrounding them.
What can a commissioned project include?
Depending on the project, this can include field research, interviews, local knowledge, photography, illustration, archival material and collaboration with researchers or community members. The final result can range from a small field guide to a high-end limited edition created specifically for a destination or organisation.
I have a project in mind. How do I contact you?
Tell us a little about the territory, community, research or organisation you are working with, and what you would like to document. You can contact us directly through the form below.
